ASME SA268 TP410 seamless stainless steel pipe for boiler
ASME SA268 TP410 seamless stainless steel pipe is a hardenable, ferromagnetic, martensitic stainless steel alloy with high strength and hardness. It's suitable for boiler applications requiring wear resistance in moderate to high temperatures or mildly corrosive environments. It maintains good oxidation resistance up to approximately 1200-1292℃F in continuous service and can withstand even higher temperatures in intermittent use, but its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of austenitic stainless steel pipe. Because seamless pipe has no seams, it's stronger and more durable than welded pipe, making it an ideal choice for high-pressure and critical applications in power plants and refineries.
What is 410 grade stainless steel?
410 grade stainless steel is a general-purpose martensitic stainless steel with an 11.5% chromium content and good corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the corrosion resistance of 410 grade stainless steel can be further enhanced through a series of processes, such as quenching, tempering, and polishing.
